Cooke County Courthouse 1939North Texas has much to offer horses and their owners. You can be riding public equestrian trails in the Decatur Grasslands and Lake Texoma with about an hours drive. Come see us real soon.

The Gainesville area offers stables, RV parks, golf courses, and any vets or horse supplies you may need while you're here. A considerable number of horse breeders, and champion horse ranches populate the area all around us. Quality breeding and equine services are available through out the Gainesville and North Texas area.

Gainesville is located 60 miles North of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, just five miles from the Red River and the Texas-Oklahoma border. Cattle Barons and cotton brokers founded Gainesville in 1850.

The Chisholm Trail, California Trail and The Butterfield Stage Line all passed through here. Oil and cattle further spurred the growth of the area to become the center of the International Equine Industry it is today.

There are many ways to get here. Gainesville rest at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Highway 82. We have a municipal airport and commercial flights are within 50 minutes away at Alliance and DF/W Airports.

Daily rail service is provided by Burlington Northern/Santa Fe and Amtrak's Heartland Flyer. A place to stay shouldn't be a problem. Gainesville has over 400 hotel/motel rooms and two bed and breakfast.
